This tutorial briefly describes the different areas of our free website builder. After reading the 7 easy steps, you will be able to create your first free website in minutes.

The website you are editing is located in the middle of the page.
You see your website the exact same way visitors see it. To edit your website, "tools" are available on the top and on the left of the website creation tool.
Your site has to contain at least one page to be publishable. You can create as many pages as you want on your website by using the
New page button. The first step consists of creating or selecting the page you want to edit.
The background page is a special "page" which is never displayed alone on your website. The blocks located on the background page are displayed on all the pages of the website. Thus, it is the ideal place to create a menu or the title of your website.

These are the elements displayed on your pages: text, photo, video, map...
To create one on a page, simply click on it.
Here are the free blocks you can create on your website:
Carousel: Adds a mini gallery on your website
Image: Displays a photo or an image on your website
Map: Shows an address on a google map
Menu: Shows your site pages
Text: Adds a text area on your website
Video: Displays a YouTube video on your website
Ads: Earn money with your website
Flash: Adds a Flash animation on your website
Contact: Allows your visitors to send you emails from your website
Comment: Lets visitors create comments on your site
Widget: Adds third-party widgets on your website
To select a Block on a page, simply click on it. You can then resize it and move it wherever you want on the page.
To edit it, for example changing a Text content, moving the marker indicating where you live on a Map or changing the picture of an Image, click on the pencil
.
The property zone displays the tools and options available for the selected block on the current page.
In our example, a Text is selected. The zone shows the properties of the Text: title, font selection, text alignment...
If a Map was selected, you would be able to change the address or the map type ; if we were on the background page, a button would allow you to change the website design...
The final step is to publish your website.
Once you have finished to edit the pages, click on the
Publish site button to save your changes.

On the top left of the page, many links allow you to go back to the website administration page or to log out your SiteW account.
Do not forget that you can find explanations about the free website building tools whenever you want by using the
button.
